There is something greater than prophecy, than sermons, than even a miraculous healing. It exceeds all that we typically imagine as that to which we ought to aspire as Christians. While we charismatics often go on like miracles are the end of the purpose in the cross, there are greater things than these...
Looking over the past few months or so, I think of five men in particular - Curt, Josh, Jacob, Scott and Aaron. Watching how God has gotten a hold of them and begun to work deeply in their lives, changing who they are at their core and making them men of courage...all of this has been amazing. You guys rock! I love watching His image raise up in you.
I would rather watch strength arise in the men of God any day than receive a single prophecy. We certainly are promised the "greater things", and have access to them in Christ. But the greatest, most fulfilling miracles are the testimonies written on the hearts of men of how Jesus has changed them.
