Monk?

So, will this title become prophetic? I still have not heard much more that would lead to any certainty concerning a future deployment. However, I cannot help but wonder if there just wasn't something tickling God's funnybone as he saw me pondering the title "Monk" for the year, while at the same time knowing what might be ahead of me.

Anyhow, the offers seem to be overwhelming at this point. If it's not going to Afghanistan, it's a possible position at Ft. Lewis. If not there, at Ft. Jackson. And in the midst of it all is wondering what plans God has for my church? I can only wait and see. Patience is not my strong suit - blogging is great therapy. "They that wait upon the Lord..."
