Hmmm. Life is filled with change. I have been told I may be next on the rotation list for deployment - and looking at a visit to Afghanistan. No matter how long it's been since your last deployment, it's still a shock to the system. In a year of changes, however, why not a new deployment? We shall see.
Nothing is settled yet concerning this possibility. It may or may not happen. That is how certain the Army typically is in these matters. So, trust in God is again the default position. Ultimately, I have little control over these things anyhow, and what control I would attempt to seize might not conform to His will, anyhow.
Thus, I will wait. While I fear my family having to go through this again, I do know that, come what may, God's designs supercede my own wishes. I am more often glad at being involved in His plans than I am at superimposing my will. What I want often turns to disaster. "God works for the good in all things for those who love him and are called according to His purposes."
Chris,
ReplyDeleteIn October 2007 I was told that I was next on the list for deployment; I mobilized on 30JUN08. Maybe the lag was due to NGCA; not sure how NGWA does things! In any event, blessings, Sir!
